The Linear integration lets scaling.cloud file a linked Linear issue from an incident — the destination for the Create ticket action used by both proposed actions and automation rules. Unlike the GitHub and Sentry signal sources — which scaling.cloud reads to diagnose an incident — Linear is a write destination: scaling.cloud creates an issue in your workspace when an action fires.

What it does

  • Makes the Create ticket action available on an incident.
  • When an approved proposed action or a matching automation rule runs, files a Linear issue and links it back to the incident.
  • Nothing is filed automatically without a trigger — a proposed action still needs human approval, and an automation rule only fires on the event and conditions you configure.

Connect

You need the Admin role in your scaling.cloud organization.
1

Open the Linear integration

In scaling.cloud, go to Settings → Integrations and open the Linear card. If you are not an org admin, the connect button is disabled.
2

Authorize scaling.cloud

Click Connect Linear. You’ll be redirected to Linear to authorize the scaling.cloud integration for your workspace. Approve and you’ll return to scaling.cloud, where the card shows Connected.
3

Use it in an action

With Linear connected, an approved create-ticket proposed action or a create-ticket automation rule files a linked Linear issue.
A Create ticket action can only run if Linear is connected. If it isn’t, the action can’t file an issue — connect Linear first, or choose a different action.

Remove the integration

Open Settings → Integrations → Linear and click Disconnect Linear. scaling.cloud stops filing issues to your workspace immediately. Issues already filed are unaffected.
